Tábor Solidarity is an independent initiative based in Prague, established immediately after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine through the “occupation” of the Russian embassy in Prague. The site of the “occupation of the Russian embassy” became a center of solidarity and gathering. At the same time, it served as an information point offering various forms of support to people fleeing the Russian war in Ukraine to Prague.
In the first week following the full-scale invasion, Tábor Solidarity established the TS Klubovna, which operated as a free, independent daily preschool for children fleeing Ukraine. The preschool closed in September 2023, and the current focus of TS Klubovna is now on providing leisure, educational, and artistic activities such as various workshops, art therapy, and creative camps.
Providing these activities to Ukrainian families is now the primary mission of Tábor Solidarity. In parallel, its activities also include organizing fundraisings for communities affected by Russian imperialism and hosting cultural events such as screenings, short film festivals, lectures, or discussions.
